The course is designed for Graduates who are interested in International Finance, Capital Markets, Risk Management, Financial Accounting and Financial Advisory. This puts the course at par with Finance courses offered by some of the best Univesities like Harvard, Cambridge, Stanford, London Business School, Yale, etc.
The course has a unique 3 day structure that makes it mandatory for students to attend college on 3 days of the week, either “Monday, Tuesday and Saturday” or “Thursday, Friday and Saturday” and focus on a job or their studies on the other 4 days of the week.
The course is divided into 4 semesters, with the first semester being taught in Mumbai at BIL. The first semester consists of Macro Economics, Financial Analysis, Financial Foundations, Statistics, Econometrics, Financial Products and Financial Modelling.
The 2nd and the 3rd semester will be at Frankfurt, in Germany. The second semester consists of subjects related to Financial Markets, Risk Management and Corporate Finance. The semester will also consist of a Luxemborg offsite visit. The students will have to choose one subject amongst Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, Derivative Analysis, Risk Management, Financial Accounting, Financial Advisory, Equity Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Structured products, Debt Finance, Banking Regulation, Restructuring, Strategic Account Management.
The third semester will teach students about Financial Engineering, Debt Markets, Risk Modelling, Equity Markets, Corporate Valuation, Credit Derivatives, Default Models, Risk Management and an elective of Responsible Management in Finance.
Students have the option of completing the 4th semester in partner universities in Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Brazil, China, Barbados, Chile, Columbia, Congo, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Egypt, Fiji, France, Hungary, Indonesia, Iceland, India, Japan, UK, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Lithuania, Namibia, Jordan, Norway, Peru, Poland, Kenya, Portugal, Morroco, Russia, Netherlands, Latvia, New Zealand, Singapore, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, South Africa, USA, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and UAE. The fourth semester consists of 2 electives and a Masters thesis.
The medium of instruction is English for all the semesters. The students will be given career guidance during the duration of the course. The average salary of students passing out of the institute is Euros 54,000.
